Wesley Appell has over 12 years of experience providing strategic, operational and financial solutions to companies, their creditors and investors, in both Chapter 11 and out-of-court situations. Wesley has advised both public and private companies in various industries including real estate, retail, consumer products, and manufacturing. These assignments have involved the review and development of multi-year financial projections, capital structure optimization, operational analysis including identifying and quantifying potential cost savings, valuations, and disposition strategies. Wesley's additional experience includes providing advisory services to equity sponsors seeking due diligence assistance, recommendations for portfolio assets, business plan assessment, financial projections and model development, enterprise valuation and performance monitoring.
Wesley has advised clients throughout many large, high profile national and international engagements, including General Growth Properties, Caesars Entertainment, Lehman Brothers, Innkeepers, C-BASS, and Chaparral Energy.
Wesley was previously a Managing Director at FTI Consulting in their Corporate Finance and Restructuring practice, and was also a member of the Real Estate Solutions practice.
Wesley holds a B.S. from San Diego State University with a concentration in finance. He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI). He was an adjunct instructor at New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate.
